"PREACH THE WORD!" has been the most frequently heard admonition and call to ministry at Sunset from its beginning in 1962 in Lubbock,Texas. It is regularly shouted as a speaker goes to the pulpit in the daily chapel or on special occasions. Preaching the word has been at the core of all the courses taught at sunset. It has been the charge in sending the graduates to the four corners of the earth. The School is intentionally committed to better "training men and women in becoming whole persons to communicate the whole Gospel to the whole world, wholly to please Holy God." Preaching the Word has filled the history of sunset with an innovative spirit while maintaining fidelity to the Word, once and for all delivered to the saints. This book is an effort to document the history of this institute.
