Valiant Rome hoped to last forever. Mightily she took her stand, filling a large portion of the earth with her culture. However, some uncivilized peoples sensed her weakness and shoved her into the Dark Ages.

Time was when the sun did not set on the British Empire. Now that great power sits, hardly more than an appendage, jutting out from the mainland of Europe.

The mighty Soviet Union, forged through tyranny, gave birth to a ruler who boasted to his enemies: We will bury you!

The now generation, through the electronic media, watched history being played out as hammers of steel reduced the Berlin Wall to rubble and as the social unrest consumed the Iron Curtain.

Centuries earlier a pagan king named Nubuchadnezzar saw a rock hewn without hands, a rock that smashed earthly kingdoms and filled the whole earth (Daniel 2:34-35).

An inspired writer of the New Testament knew there is a kingdom which cannot be removed (Hebrews 12:28). This kingdom - God's Kingdom - gives stability, joy, and eternal security.

That is what The Kingdom is all about!
