Behailu Abebe is a native-born Ethiopian Christian, evangelist, and educator. He was baptized in 1964 in Addis Ababa through the work of the Church of Christ Gospel Outreach in his country. He has participated in the establishment of deaf schools, preacher training schools and famine relief efforts, often overseeing these various works. He and family were exiled to Kenya during part of the Communist rule in Ethiopia. During the many years when foreign missionaries were banned in Ethiopia, he and other faithful Ethiopian preachers helped the church grow more than a hundred-fold! This biography of Behailu's life also chronicles the growth of the churches of Christ and their work in Ethiopia from 1961 through 2016. It was extensively researched and written by Truman Scott.
