We have a heritage of negativity regarding the Law and the Old Testament and this often affects the lens through which we see God and read the Minor Prophets. Moses wanted the children of Israel not to fear the God of Sinai, but to appreciate His loving kindness. It is the voice of the God of Moses that we hear in the words of the Prophets.
