Minor Prophets (Rogers) – Course Study Guide (Print)
Sunset Institute PressAn in-depth study of the minor prophets by Richard Rogers.
Welcome to our study of the Minor Prophets. The title "Minor Prophets" is assigned to the twelve books contained in the last part of our English translation of the Old Testament. The term "Minor', in this context, simply means the books are smaller in content in comparison to the other five prophetical books of the Old Testament. A study of the Minor Prophets will enrich the life of anyone who applies himself to learning their teaching. On the other hand, it will only add to the confusion of those who would use their writings as a basis for speculation about the future. As we will see, the prophets were primarily preachers, forth-tellers of God's word, not predictors of the future. Their message essentially pertained to the needs of the people in their day.
