Eschatology is a study of the end times, centering on the Second Coming of Christ and the events surrounding it. In the year AD 1000 many Christians believed that Christ was going to return to the earth in that year. In the same manner, many Christians believed that Christ would return in the year AD 2000.
This study of eschatology concentrates on events surrounding Christ's second and final coming, differentiating between true and false teachings that are currently being perpetuated.
