What are the driving forces in a missional church to mount and sustain a
robust mission program? A passion for Christ, identifying with those who have
lost their way and being convicted that the proclamation of the Word of God
leads the lost to a relationship in Christ and holiness in life have been the driving
forces of missions across the centuries in every land. When the good news
of the person and Message of Christ is carried by mission minded spokesmen
in every land churches are planted and grow and the Gospel continues to
spread in widening circles.
The reader will find twenty-four articles devoted to the basis of missions,
to the contents of the message, to some methods to be considered, to some
illustrations of mission work and the end results of a biblically centered mission
enterprise. Overwhelmingly, the articles have their value in being focused on
the person and Message of Christ in fulfilling the eternal purpose of God.
