God's Word, all 66 books of it, is a gift to Christians. As Christians, we miss an aspect of knowing in our relationship with God if we ignore any part of it, including Leviticus. Even though the third book of the Pentateuch isn't the most interesting book in Scripture, it is still His inspired Word and holds purpose for us today.
Sandwiched between the exciting action of Exodus and the assurance of God's hand on His people as promised in Numbers, Leviticus often collects dust as Bible readers skim it, skip it, or sleep through it. But for all the rules in the book that were set aside as Jesus entered the world to save us, Leviticus reminds us that God urges His people to be informed decision makers, and our focus must be on one decision only: the decision to be holy.
